..................................................... I'm out. Gotta head to the "cluBuh" for some swimming. Speaking of which, I never finished that story..........soooooooo...........stay tuned.
Posted May 9th
Let's get back to me going to the cluBuh to engage in some swimming. As I said once before, I met some swimmers who were wearing fins and they were gliding effortlessly through the water. One of the people let me try on their fins and to my suprise, swimming was much easier. So I made it a point to get myself some fins. The ones I bought were rather large but I figured, hey, big feet need big fins. These things looked like whale fins. They must have been a yard long. If you put them on and jump into the water, you'll actually stand on the surface of the water for about 3 seconds before you sink (that's how big they were). I looked like I had on clown feet. Matter of fact, they were so big I couldn't fit them into my duffel bag. The minute my peeps at the cluBuh saw these things the jokes began. "Hey....deep sea diver........ looking for pearls" or "look....it's Jacques Cousteau." Even the old life guard (this guy has to be at least 75 years old) joked me. He called me "Sea Hunt with Lloyd Bridges." I laughed cuz I thought to myself you have to be older than water to remember that TV show. Then, I stopped laughing cuz it dawned on me........heeyyy, I remember watching that show too. Needless to say, I took those whale fins back and got some smaller ones. The interesting thing is when my lady (Hey Baby) saw the new ones, she laughed cuz she thought they were so BIG. Whatever. I'm swimming like a fish now. Matter of fact, I'm proud to say yesterday I did 15 laps........like Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder in Silver Streak...."yeah, yeah, I'm bad, I'm bad."
